Why should people get to know me?
I’m an atheist with an endlessly curious mind. I can happily spend hours talking about astrophysics, mathematics, quantum mechanics, philosophy, politics, religion, feminism, current affairs, history, and the traditions that shaped our societies. I enjoy questioning ideas rather than simply accepting them, and I’m equally interested in understanding why people believe what they believe.
I’m intellectually curious but also emotionally perceptive. I genuinely try to understand the other person’s point of view, even when I strongly disagree with it. For me, a good conversation isn’t about winning an argument—it’s about discovering something you hadn’t considered before.
If you enjoy intellectual curiosity, honest conversations, challenging ideas, dark humour, and going down fascinating rabbit holes at completely unreasonable hours, we’ll probably have plenty to talk about.
About His Ideal Match
I’m looking for an atheist, agnostic, or genuinely secular Muslim who is comfortable building a life with an atheist. More than labels, I’m looking for someone intellectually curious—someone genuinely interested in literature, politics, philosophy, science, history and the questions that make us rethink what we believe.
If you enjoy long walks, deep conversations, travelling and getting lost in fascinating discussions for hours, we’ll probably have a lot in common.
I want a relationship built on mutual understanding, honesty, emotional support and giving each other enough space to remain ourselves. I’d like to grow with my partner—personally, emotionally, intellectually and academically. I want us to work side by side, challenge each other’s ideas, support each other through difficult times and celebrate each other’s successes.
I also believe that loving someone doesn’t mean needing their attention constantly. Sometimes I need some quiet and distance to recharge. Being less talkative for a while doesn’t mean I love her any less. I want a relationship where personal space isn’t mistaken for rejection.
My biggest deal breaker is religion and children. I want my future children to be raised without religion and eventually have the freedom to decide what they believe for themselves. If someone wants their children raised within a particular religion, we simply wouldn’t be compatible.
I’m not looking for someone who agrees with everything I say. I want someone who can disagree intelligently, understand my point of view, make me question my assumptions—and still enjoy the conversation afterwards.
