About Her
I love good chats and I’m a sucker for some witty banter (hopefully it goes both ways). A sense of humour is vital as well as .. optimism, kindness , a sense of fun , being a loyal friend/son/brother/father and a willingness to be spontaneous.
This is my first attempt at ‘internet dating’ following a recent divorce so my glass is surprisingly still half full and I’m optimistic and prepared to be patient .
I’m very much a glass half full person who always likes to see the best in people . In theory I’m ‘retired’ but I’m very active with a routine involving long morning dog walks in the Surrey Hills , and an active class at my gym ( I’m not obsessive but like to keep strong and healthy) ….
Having lived in London for 25 years , I’m also equally happy to throw on some heels and a nice ( why wouldn’t it be ?) dress and head up to the city for some adventures .
My favourite evening might involve inviting local friends round for dinner ( and hopefully trying not to poison them) and some good conversation ( not necessarily just gossip!) with a glass of wine ( always half full of course !)
I find myself drawn to the not so famous philosophising of Marilyn Monroe ( who knew ?) which probably sums up my current view on life ;
“I believe that everything happens for a reason. People change so that you can learn to let go, things go wrong so that you appreciate them when they're right. … sometimes good things fall apart so better things can fall together.”
I’m optimistic and looking forward to some new adventures both big and small .
