About Him
Recently widowed after a wonderful 44-year marriage, I'm beginning to live my next chapter. Those who know me well would describe me as a 'modern Renaissance man': adventuresome, well-travelled, broadly experienced, well-educated and a life-long learner. I'm somewhat introverted, intensely loyal, and rather idealistic; a lover of classical music and cats, well-experienced in both the real and digital worlds, and one who loves exotic foods and entertainments (esp. movies). My many years as a sailor and general aircraft pilot are behind me now so I'm more likely to be found working in my homelab, getting caught up with the world, or chatting with my fellow 'travellers'. I'm past clubbing and late nights but am always up for an adventure, new knowledge, and stimulating conversation -- along with the benefits of close companionship.

My ideal companion would have parallel if not similar backgrounds and interests; someone who's accomplished in life and genuinely interesting as an individual. Our relationship would need to have a strong foundation based on mutual respect, high natural curiosity, positivity, and a penchant for new things.
