About Her
Friendly, positive, and a pretty relaxed type of person, I love meeting new people and am always open to new experiences. I’m optimistic and try to make the most of life.
I’m smart, can be witty ( on a good day), quietly confident and happy in my own skin .

I have a variety of interests, including golf and learning Spanish, I love to read, ,visit the theatre, cinema, exhibitions . I especially love most forms of dance and I have an eclectic taste in music. I’m interested in current affairs and of course, travelling. I enjoy exploring new cultures and have recently returned from Japan. I’m a regular visitor to the Costa Brava and love Spanish culture. I really want to do longer haul trips ,maybe to the Far East again or even Australia.
Now retired, I had a long career at a senior level in industry then after a break to bring up my own three now adult children, I retrained to teach dyslexic children. Helping them gain confidence through reading was incredibly rewarding.
I’m enjoying having more free time. A weekend well spent might include a round of golf ,(I’m still pretty new to it,- a most frustrating sport!) maybe coffee with a friend then dinner out, or the theatre or just watching a film at home in the evening.
I have a small but fabulous circle of friends who I value highly. Spending time with one of my adult children is always welcome if they can fit me into their hectic schedules.
I love being outdoors especially in the sunshine so a walk along the river or just mooching around a new town is always enjoyable.
I wish I could say I enjoy going to the gym but its something I do to keep fit and be strong so I can continue to do the things I love. Pilates is growing on me, and I do like to go running. Looking after my health is important to me.
I’m independent but would love to meet someone to spend time with. I’m looking for someone to enhance my life, which I love.
