I am interested in the world and in love with the west coast of Ireland.
I embrace learning, believe the arts enrich our lives and knowing history feeds our soul.
My friends would tell you that I am funny, caring, supportive, and fiercely loyal. And I would tell you that I appreciate those qualities in other people. I have a deep well of empathy and think we all bring something unique to this world.
I love the morning and late afternoon or evening best, the slant of light, changing shadows, sounds of the birds and other animals all engage my imagination. n my part of the world, I find the marshes and river beautiful in so many ways. Marsh grass is always whispering. The edges filled with so much life. Always offering one an invitation to sit quietly and observe.
I love going out to listen to live music--lots of kinds of music. I like to sit close if possible and watch the musicians play. I like the way they communicate with a look and a nod.
The best book I've read recently: Thirty-Two Words for Field by Manchán Magan. Hmm. This site will not allow me to put the title in italics.
My politics are liberal. I don't tolerate mean-spirited or unkind behavior.

What I'm looking for? Well, hard to say really. Someone that I like, that I feel I can trust. Someone who is affectionate and kind.
I appreciate a partner who can laugh and carry on--someone who remembers the joy of jumping in puddles, who still has the open and soft heart that children have, someone who will walk with me in the rain and dance with me in the kitchen.
