About Him
My hobbies are Spanish conversation ( used to work there years ago) , sailing (old reliable boat and lots of regular maintenance) in fine weather nowadays, music especially opera and jazz, tango, hill-walking, history, cross-country skiing ( fantastic when we get snow and only need 10 mm on roadway/pavement), swimming, chess.
Learned enough German since Covid lockdown on satellite TV channels to follow their programmes ( with sub-titles in German for deaf); more interesting TV, especially documentaries and even schlager music help with learning the language, but German (like Spanish) humour is quite different to ours.
